Progress Report 2008

Under the Government's Air Quality Review and Assessment scheme North Lincolnshire Council was required to produce a Progress Report. The draft report was submitted to the Government on the 10th June 2008 and aims to:

  • Provide an update on the air quality monitoring conducted (whether the pollutant falls under the responsibility of the Council or not) in North Lincolnshire since the 2006 Updating and Screening Assessment Report.
  • Discuss of long-term trends where the monitoring stations have been running for a sufficient period of time.
  • Provide a summary and update on the reports submitted since the 2006 Updating and Screening Assessment Report.
  • Identify new industrial processes in North Lincolnshire and review emissions of those processes in the vicinity of the 2007 Detailed Assessments.
  • Identify any significant changes in relation to road traffic in North Lincolnshire.
  • Identify any new commercial, retail or residential developments in North Lincolnshire that may impact on air quality in the future.
  • Detail the number of air quality related complaints and enquiries received by the Council.
  • Provide a summary of other air quality work.

The report is available for viewing and download on this website. The Council is inviting members of the public and other consultees to make comments on this report. The deadline for comments is the 19th, September 2008; earlier comments are more than welcome.
